Patricia L. McGrail, Esquire has been active in the practice of law since 1980 and is primarily engaged in the representation of small businesses, non-profit companies, and municipal organizations with regard to their business and organizational issues. She represents both private and public sector clients in all areas of legal interest, including labor and employment, delinquent tax collection, land use, and zoning.
Attorney McGrail has been able to offer her public sector clients a broad range of services so that they are able to utilize the firm as a “one-stop shop” while maintaining cost-effective representation for all necessary services. In addition, she represents her business clients in real estate, contract, employment, and organizational issues which confront them on a daily basis. She also acts as private counsel to individuals and businesses with regard to zoning matters and has been involved in their representation before local Zoning Hearing Boards, the Court of Common Pleas, the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court, and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Prior to founding McGrail & Associates, LLC, Attorney McGrail was a shareholder at Babst, Calland, Clements and Zomnir, P.C. She is a former shareholder with Metz Lewis formerly Sweeney, Metz, Fox, McGrann & Schermer, LLC and Wick, Streiff, Meyer, McGrail & O’Boyle, P.C. She received a B.A. from Marietta College in 1977 and her Juris Doctorate from The University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1980.
Mrs. McGrail is a frequent lecturer on municipal and corporate issues and regularly speaks at the Local Government Academy, Newly Elected Officials Course. She is active in the Greater Pittsburgh community and is General Counsel to Center for Victims, the largest victim’s agency in Pennsylvania and to the Southeast Regional Emergency Medical Services, which is an emergency medical agency that serves nine member municipalities in southwestern Pennsylvania. In addition, Attorney McGrail serves on the Board of Directors of the Hidden Valley Foundation, Inc., which serves as the governing board of the Hidden Valley Resort in Somerset County.

Attorney McGrail is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals, for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. She was appointed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners and served from 2001 through 2005.
